Mazda will show its first electric car at the Tokyo Motor Show
Mazda, according to network sources, will show the world its first all-electric car next month – at the Tokyo Motor Show, which will open its doors on October 24.
Recall that in 2017 Mazda, Toyota Motor and the supplier of automotive components Denso signed an agreement on the joint development of basic structural technologies for electric vehicles. However, the first Mazda electric car will be executed on the company’s own architecture.
A month ago, an Mazda electric car was spotted on the streets of Norway. Externally, this car resembles the popular crossover CX-5.
However, according to observers, a completely different Mazda electric car may debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show. Most likely, it will also be a relatively compact crossover.
In the commercial market, Mazda expects to introduce its first electric car in 2020. In the future, the Japanese automaker plans to electrify the entire lineup.
