Apple Id Disconnect Device

In iTunes On a Mac or PC, you can view the list of devices associated with the Apple ID and remove unnecessary devices from it.

You can associate up to 10 devices with an Apple ID and iTunes at the same time (no more than five of which can be computers).

The list of connected devices in iTunes is not identical to the list of devices that are signed in using your Apple ID. The list of devices on which your Apple ID was used to log in can be viewed on the Apple ID account page.

You don’t need to link devices to purchase content and download recent purchases. A paired device can be removed in the following cases:

View and delete related devices on a Mac or PC

To automatically open iTunes and log in to the "Account Information" page on your computer, click the View my account link. You can also do the following:

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. If you are not logged in, sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. In the menu bar located at the top of the computer screen or the iTunes window, select “Account” > "View my account."
  4. Enter the password and press the Enter key on the keyboard or click View.
  5. Scroll to iTunes in the cloud and click Manage Devices. If no devices are attached to your Apple ID, you will not see this section.

View related devices

By clicking on “Manage devices”, you will see information about all connected devices. To the right of each device is the date it was associated with the Apple ID. In addition, you can see how many days are left before the device can be associated with another Apple ID.

If you don’t see any of your devices listed, link this device to your Apple ID. After that, open the list in iTunes again and make sure that the device appears there.

Removing related devices

On the Device Management page, click the Delete button to the right of the device that you want to remove. However, until the remote device can be associated with another Apple ID, it may take up to 90 days, depending on how long the device has been associated with your Apple ID.

If the “Delete” button is inactive (grayed out), it means that you are trying to remove the device connected to your Apple ID. Sign out of the iTunes Store account on this device and try again.

Removing paired devices on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

You cannot view a list of connected devices on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. However, you can remove the associated iOS device using the device itself.

  1. Select "Settings" > [your name] > "ITunes Store and App Store."
  2. Choose your Apple ID.
  3. Select View Apple ID. You may be prompted for a password.

  4. Scroll to iTunes in the cloud and click Remove This Device.

Android phones and device pairing

Using an Android phone, you can neither view the list of connected devices, nor delete the connected device. At the same time, the connected Android phone is included in the limit in number (up to 10 devices).

When you try to re-associate an already connected device with another Apple ID, a message appears: “The device is already associated with an Apple ID. The device can be linked to another Apple ID in [days] days. ”Depending on when you linked the device to your Apple ID, it can take up to 90 days to wait for the device to be linked to another Apple ID.
