For young people, this amount should be at least 10 thousand. For elderly people, it is enough to make up to 5-7 thousand steps per day. According to doctors, non-compliance with this norm leads to the fact that the cardiovascular system weakens.

The vice-president of the All-Russian public organization “League of Health of the Nation” noted that when walking, even for 3 minutes, a person’s blood pressure decreases.

Izvestia also recalled a study by scientists from Harvard Medical School. His results showed that people who make less than 2.2 thousand steps a day live on average less than more active people.
