Windows 10 on Sony VAIO laptop. What to do if the installation freezes? We correct errors when updating and in work! Screenshot instructions "for blondes"!
I have a Sony VAIO SVE1511V1RB
- Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz
- 4 gb memory
The update came to me back in 2015, but then I somehow doubted, and left everything as it is. The update icon hung about another month and disappeared. But recently, I still decided to upgrade. There are several reasons for this, including the XBOX program, which allows you to play games for the console on your computer,
I’m an old gamer)). over, while there is an opportunity to upgrade for free.
And so, the first problem I encountered. Installation freezes 99% when checking for updates. Reinstalled 2 times, and still crashed in this place.
I decided that the problem could be in my Windows, and reinstalled it. Who doesn’t know, on VAIO laptops there is a button "ASSIST", which returns the computer to the factory settings.
In general, after reinstalling, I again began to install 10ku, and she again hung on 99%.
It was a challenge! As you know, now I just had to figure out what was the matter!
And so, after rebooting, I saw what? BLACK SCREEN.
I had to press assist again.
And so, I google it, it turns out, not only did I encounter this problem, and it can be solved like this:
- Press the WinR button, and enter the following into the window that opens:
In the process, the computer will restart several times, but in general, everything is intuitively further. All this took me about 2 hours, although if you count with all the failed attempts, it took me all day.
Video: Sony Vaio Not Loading
And so, with a sense of victory, I first downloaded a new shell and. I realized that something went wrong. The maximum possible screen resolution was 1024 by 800. It was cured by updating the video driver. it is done like this:
- Right-click on the desktop:
After such manipulations, the image on the screens becomes familiar.
And this is not all the problems associated with Windows 10. Further, I found that I began to bug the touchpad. Those. the right button refused to work and the left did not work from time to time. What can be done with this:
- Right-click on the Start menu. Select the device manager:
Honestly, I don’t know what other problems will come out. Sony generally did a very ugly thing by removing support for their laptops. Those. they no longer release software updates. So, I put 10k at my own peril and risk, and I still do not know how many more jambs will come out. And maybe I’ll just return the old version of the system, because I constantly go with lags. not for me. Visually and functionally, 10k is very pleasant, this can not be taken away, so it’s doubly sorry to roll back the shell.
Update from 3/07.
Regrettably, I had to demolish the system and return to the good old Win7. 10ka worked for almost a month, after which it turned out that the video card of my computer did not fit this system (((. It all started with periodic glitches in the form of a screen in colored dotted stripes that disappeared upon reboot. And it ended up causing the computer to go away altogether into endless reboots.
There were problems with rollback too.
The glitches of the video card did not pass when reinstalling using the Assist button (which, I recall, returns the computer to the factory state), dot bars and an endless reboot appeared again. Because Windows did not reinstall until the end, even safe mode did not work (((
I thought that I probably would have to contact the service, but before that I decided to try again the rollback to the factory settings. It seemed to me that this time everything went fine, but the next day again the same glitch. I don’t know, maybe the problem is in the hardware. Perhaps, still have to give it up for repair ((.
